Research theme
I investigate how galaxy interactions bring accreting supermassive black holes into close pairs, using multiwavelength observations to test candidate dual nuclei against alternatives such as one active nucleus plus shocked circumnuclear gas.
Scientific questions
Do independent X-ray, optical, and radio structures support two accreting black holes, or can one active nucleus plus shocked circumnuclear gas explain them?
How precisely do the compact centroids and separations agree across wavebands?
What can close nuclear pairs reveal about black-hole growth during galaxy interactions?
